As Chief Legal Counsel for Governor John W. Hickenlooper, Stephanie advised the Governor on legislative and policy issues, judicial appointments, and emergency management issues. Before her role as Chief Legal Counsel, Stephanie was the Deputy Chief of Staff and Executive Director and General Counsel for the flood recovery. In those roles, Stephanie advised on a diverse set of legal issues and led the coordinated response to recover from the largest natural disaster in the state’s history.

“In her five years with my administration, Stephanie Donner has been far more than an invaluable legal mind, she has taken on several roles, including Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Legal Counsel, and time and time again, she has presented innovative solutions to improve the lives of Coloradans. It makes perfect sense that she has joined a company like Galvanize. The reason that Colorado has been cited as such a hotbed for tech startup activity by the likes of Forbes Magazine and the Kauffman Foundation, among many others, is because of companies like Galvanize, which educates and fosters innovative entrepreneurs. Colorado is lucky to have Galvanize and they are lucky to have Stephanie,” said Governor Hickenlooper.

At Galvanize, we’re focused on creating on-ramps for anyone with ambition and aptitude to access technical skills and entrepreneurship, Stephanie’s leadership will be instrumental in helping us change what modern education looks like. We believe major changes are coming in the next few years as more tech workers look to new programs to learn in-demand industry skills, and more companies look to immersive programs to build out their technical teams. Adding Stephanie’s expertise to our leadership team will guide us as we expand to more campuses, add more education offerings, and join important new initiatives, such as NESTA. Please join us in welcoming her to the team!
