A Message from the Galvanize Founders

Dear Galvanize Community,

Yesterday, we restructured and streamlined our workforce, with 37 employees — primarily at our headquarters — being impacted. We are very grateful for each of these employees and their contributions, both to your Galvanize experience and to building our organization. We will make every effort to support them on their next journeys. We remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering exceptional educational experiences and outcomes, and these reductions will not impact our ability to deliver the quality education that we have consistently delivered since our inception in 2012. Galvanize’s success is measured by our student and member success. Our standards will not change. Our full-time immersive programs and the eight campuses in which we operate are not impacted by the restructuring.

Our learning community is growing and getting stronger every day. Currently, we have more than 2,400 alumni, 1,000 member companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 500, and over 800 companies that have hired our graduates and are hungry for more. Those employers are now using our faculty and Learn platform to reskill both new employees and their existing employees. The opportunity to be a continuing part of Galvanize’s community is now greater and more powerful than ever.

Galvanize is unique in the market because of our diverse academic offerings for consumers and our thriving membership and business-to-business operations. These channels combine to provide us with more diverse revenue streams, and comprise a growing operation in an industry with an ever-increasing appetite for top tech talent. These qualities also set us apart from some of the other “boot camps” that recently announced that they are closing because they could not find a sustainable business model.

We remain extremely excited about our future, and our ability to help you and so many others like you #levelup.

Finally, I am excited to announce that Galvanize’s co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, Lawrence Mandes, has been promoted to President. If you have questions, please connect with your local campus leadership, or reach out to either of us at jim@galvanize.com or lawrence@galvanize.com.
