We’re excited to have Randy Krum – founder of the DFW Data Visualization & Infographics Meetup and president of InfoNewt –an infographic design and visual consulting company – joining us in Austin to share his insights and strategies for creating awesome, visually engaging charts and infographics!
Anyone can throw a chart into a presentation.
Good DataViz Design means going beyond the charting templates and designing visualizations that reveal insights and tell stories to your audience.
There are hundreds of ways to visualize data, and once you have chosen an appropriate visualization style for your data, you must customize the design to make sure your audience quickly and easily understands your message.
You need your own toolbox of applications and websites to create different visualizations and charts, and they will all benefit from these core principles of good DataViz design.
Randy Krum is President of InfoNewt, an infographic design and visual consulting company. InfoNewt works with clients to develop visual communications and strategies to reach their target audiences. These are designed for use in presentations, social media, training and print.
