Startup Tech Seattle: Developing a Successful Fundraising Strategy

November 29, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Get introduced to the process of raising capital. Learn methods to determine when to start the process, how to execute the process, and what tools are available to be successful. This is part one in a two-part workshop series. Part two covers closing investors and what to do after closing them to ensure your fundraising is successful. Both courses are great on their own, and even better when taken together. They’re fun, fast-paced, and an engaging mix of lecture, hands-on exercises, and discussion. Your instructor, Josh Maher, will give you practical takeaways and concepts that you can start using immediately.

You’ll Learn How To:

  • Decide when to add capital to your business
  • Evaluate the different options for adding capital such as selling debt, selling equity privately, selling equity in a public or semi-public way, or pre-selling your products.
  • Prospect investors from beginning to end
  • Choose the right tools to make the process easier
  • Target Audience
  • High growth tech founders who want to thoughtfully prepare for raising capital.
  • Entrepreneurs who’re raising their first or second round of financing.
  • Founding teams (CEO, CTO, and so on) who’ll inevitably be a part of the fundraising process.
