How easy is it to make changes to your Angular app without breaking existing features? Automated testing gives you the confidence to make big changes, without having to spend time double-checking that nothing broke.
Web testing can be painful and slow, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll show you how to make fast, useful component tests in Angular, and how to use Protractor to easily write end to end tests.
You should be familiar with AngularJS and at least somewhat familiar with modern Angular applications written in TypeScript.
What to bring:
A laptop and an adventurous spirit!
About the Speaker:
Mike is a developer at Google in Seattle. He previously worked on Protractor, Angular’s end to end test framework, and has been developing Angular applications for four years.
What will attendees learn from this?
You’ll learn how to write component tests in modern Angular. Component tests are faster and more reliable than browser tests, but still run in a real browser and let you test DOM interactions.
We’ll also cover writing tests that fully automate browsers using Protractor and WebDriver.
