About the Event:
Sandeep’s talk will be about random graphs. Random graphs have some very well-defined properties, and have been useful in modeling behaviors of real-life networks. He will be showing some implementations of random graphs using Spark’s GraphX library, and will discuss how the mathematically-derived properties of these graphs can come in useful while validating implementations of graph algorithms.
About the Speaker:
Sandeep Narayanaswami is a physicist turned data scientist. His day job involves building models, contributing to open source projects, and checking out new machine learning platforms and implementations. His background biases him towards cool algorithms, and some of his current interests are streaming and graph algorithms.
