This months talknight will showcase two speakers who will talk about their experiences building machine learning applications including why they chose the models they did, what technologies they used and their experiences deploying their apps.
Emre Ozdemir Ph.D., is a Data Scientist with a background in Nuclear, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Emre’s talk will cover his project called WOTS, a Python NLP based real-estate recommender that helps users purchase their dream home in Seattle.
Stephanie Peña is a Data Scientist with a background in product management and will share her project called ‘Don’t Fret Recommender’, a Python based guitar pedal recommender that helps users make more informed purchases when choosing a new guitar pedal.
Please join us for our April talknight that will get you inspired to build our own machine learning application in May’s workshop. This event is a partner Meetup between Seattle Data Science and Seattle Building Intelligent Applications Meetup.
About our Sponsors
Algorithmia is a common API for algorithms, functions, and models that run as scalable microservices.
We’re powered by a community of developers, researchers, and organizations that all contribute to a marketplace where state-of-the-art algorithms are made accessible and discoverable by everyone.
On Algorithmia, more than 2,500 algorithms, functions, and models run as containerized microservices that act as the building blocks of algorithmic intelligence developers can use to create, share, and remix at scale.
Galvanize is the premiere dynamic learning community for technology. With campuses located in booming technology sectors throughout the country, Galvanize provides a community for each the following:
