All the Moving Parts: Bringing Machine Learning to your Application (3.15)

March 15 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This is our first meetup (Seattle Building Intelligent Apps Meetup) and will be our first talknight!

Your very own organizers will be giving the first talk of the meetup in March! This talk will cover the basics of what you need to know to get started integrating machine learning in any application whether you are interested in building a recommendation engine or using the latest natural language processing techniques.

The talk will assume no prior machine learning experience so if you are new to building smart applications than don’t worry we’re here to get you up to speed. If you are an experienced data scientist than come find out what tools you might need to deploy your model into production.

We’ll start by discussing typical use cases to show why you might want to use machine learning in your project and show code snippets for some of the common frameworks and tools such as Scikit-Learn, Weka and Tensorflow. Finally we’ll discuss some of the different ways you can deploy your machine learning model into production depending on your needs.

Our goal is that when you leave you should have a good grasp on what components you would need to learn and use in order to integrate complicated algorithms into your application.

About our Sponsors

Algorithmia is a common API for algorithms, functions, and models that run as scalable microservices.
We’re powered by a community of developers, researchers, and organizations that all contribute to a marketplace where state-of-the-art algorithms are made accessible and discoverable by everyone.
On Algorithmia, more than 2,500 algorithms, functions, and models run as containerized microservices that act as the building blocks of algorithmic intelligence developers can use to create, share, and remix at scale.”
