Explore the first annual Kaizen Data Conference
Where do the top minds in data science gather to discuss how they solve tough problems? The Kaizen Data Conference – an applied data conference focusing on data analytics, data processing, data management, data visualization and machine learning.
Lessons in Applied Data Science
Kaizen Data, hosted at Galvanize’s San Francisco campus, brought together data science thought leaders from top companies in the Bay area like Slack, Instacart, Uber, Pinterest, Netflix, StitchFix, and more.
The presentations ranged from technical workshops (e.g. neural nets, SciKit Learn, Tensor Flow and Spark) to talks applicable to most businesses (e.g. reducing churn, fraud detection, building data science teams, etc.) to panels on controversial topics (e.g the future of black box machine learning, the paradox of “the data science unicorn,” etc.). Overall, the conference was chock full of practical data science knowledge that you can apply in the real world.
Bringing the Top Data Science Presentations to… a Computer Near You
As the learning community for data science, we (the Galvanize team) couldn’t just let these awesome data science presentations fade into the ether, never to be seen again… so, we recorded them!
We’ll be releasing the top data science workshops, talks and panels, captured at Kaizen Data, on a weekly basis for several months to come.
Expect an incredible line-up of presentations from these top speakers:
- Danny Lange, Head of Machine Learning at Uber
- Jeremy Stanley, VP of Data Science at Instacart
- Pete Skomoroch, Skipflag
- Eli Bressert, Netflix
- Mohammad Shahangian, Data Scientist at Pinterest
- Isaac Laughlin, Lead Data Science Instructor at Galvanize
- Ronnie Chen & Diana Pojar, Data Engineers at Slack
